Southern Residents are back!

On July 1st K-pod was spotted back in the Salish Sea, exactly one year from when they arrived last year. Our team was on the water with them for the bulk of the afternoon, while they foraged and socialized off San Juan! The K12, K13 & K14 matrilines were all present, with just the K16s and K21 missing. Their stay was a short one, as we got work the next day they were headed back out west. For more information about K-Pod check out the Center for Whale Researches article.
